The Combat sombo course in July  2000 was marked by Lawrence McCormick and Jim Andrews receiving 2nd degree Black belt Grades.  Ben Tate was awarded a 2nd Dan in Jujitsu after a two hour grading culminating in the performance of the Goshin Jutsu Kata. 
The August 2000 Summer camp proved a major success yet again.  Along with Judo Sombo, combat sombo and Jujutsu techniques participants  also practiced Atemi waza, taihojutsu control and restraint, escrima and Hanbo.  The resident Instructor Bill Gill Has had 30 years experience within the Canadian Police.  His techniques proved an excellent complement to the IBF taihojutsu programme.
A team from N.Ireland will be participating in the Dutch open in the new year.  Further details can be obtained from Chris
Work is well underway towards the new Taihojutsu Book and video.  These should be available early next year.  A Taihojutsu syllabus is now available. Taihojutsu is a control and restraint system techniques of which are employed by the japanese police.  The system is an excellent supplement to any martial art stlye, it is particularly favoured by Police officers and doormen.
